About

A shop's reputation should not depend on who happened to feel like writing.

Kipo came out of a simple and slightly unfair observation. On a Google listing, it is the unhappy who speak. Not because there are more of them, but because frustration makes people write and satisfaction makes them do nothing at all.

Where it started

A business that serves a hundred people well every week collects, at best, a handful of reviews a month. It is rarely the hundred satisfied ones who write. It is the two or three who left annoyed, and who had a reason to.

Every manager knows what follows. A rating that looks nothing like the real work, and a feeling of helplessness in front of a listing nobody controls. Many end up asking for reviews by hand, from their regulars, almost apologetically. It works for a week, then it stops.

Kipo does the same thing, but every day, for everyone, without anyone having to think about it. And it opens a window that did not exist before, the one where an unhappy customer can still be won back, because they spoke to you first.

What we hold to

Four principles, and we do not move on them.

No review is ever blocked

Kipo sorts paths, not opinions. An unhappy customer writes to you first, but nothing stops them from publishing afterwards. A tool that promises to make bad reviews disappear is promising something that is not allowed.

The request stays short

One message, one link, your name. Every extra sentence drives the response rate down, and every unnecessary follow-up turns a request into an annoyance.

The price is the price

Three plans, quotas written down in plain sight, onboarding included. No activation fee, no per-user billing, no essential module sold separately.

The data belongs to you

We process it on your behalf, we do not resell it, we never use it elsewhere. It exports whenever you want and is deleted when the contract ends.

The team

A small team, based in Quebec.

Kipo is built and run from Quebec, for businesses serving both French and English customers. Onboarding is handled by the same people who write the product.

He builds Kipo the way he builds everything, because it's fun, and because it was missing. The rest of the time he's out training, and probably cooking up the next project.

He already runs his own business on the side, so he lives the same problems Kipo is built to solve. He's the one keeping the team focused on what actually matters when you manage people.
